Apple has launched the Apple Watch Series 2 in India on Friday, with prices ranging between Rs 32,900 and Rs 95,900. The refreshed previous generation Apple Watch - now called Series 1 - will also be available in the country at a price starting at Rs 23,900.

To recall, the Apple Watch Series 2 was launched at the company's September 7 launch event of the latest iPhone 7 and 7 Plus smartphones. The new watch is 'swim proof', touting a new design that makes it water resistant up to a depth of 50 meters. The speaker on board was redesigned for this purpose as well, allowing water in, and then pushing it out with sound vibrations. Other major change over the previous generation, as well as the refreshed Apple Watch Series 1, is the inclusion of a built-in GPS chip for more accurate distance and speed measurements.
