Lost Greek statue of Zeus remade with 3D printing

An ancient Greek statue of Zeus lost in the 5th Century has been recreated at the Millennium Gate Museum in Atlanta using the 3D printing technology. The 1.8 metre tall statue was printed in thermoplastics, using a 3D model of the original statue. The original statue was made of wood, ivory and gold and stood 13 metre tall.
