India in Champions Trophy final
The Indian hockey team succeeded their way to their first Champions Trophy final on Friday. It’ll be competing up against Australia in London. After their lose against Australia yesterday, Indian team’s fate was dependent on the Great Britain-Belgium match on Thursday, which ended in a 3-3 draw.
India’s best result till date at the Champions Trophy has been a bronze medal at the 1982 edition in Netherlands.Reacting to India reaching its first Champions Trophy hockey final, Harsha Bhogle posted on Twitter, “Another step in this heartwarming revival of Indian hockey. The final of the Champions Trophy. Must believe a win is possible.”
Another tweet read, “A big day for #IndianHockey today. Rooting for boys to bring our 1st Gold in #ChampionsTrophy! We're already so proud!”
