Record collection of Rs 17.30 cr during Brahmotsavams

A record collection of Rs 17.30 crore was received from devotees in the seven days of the Brahmotsavam-, a hike of Rs 4 crores over previous year, has mirrored the growing devotion and number of pilgrims visiting Tirumala to participate in the celestial event. Briefing newsmen, GKodandarama Rao, the Dy EO of Srivari Temple, said on Monday that about 5.9 lakh devotees had darshan of Lord Venkateswara in the last seven days. “But for the performance of rituals to the deity, the temple was kept open throughout the day on all days during this year Brahmotsavams, giving more darshan space to common pilgrims'', he said.
