Maha Kali: The saviour of humanity
Sri Sarada Sarannavaratri Mahotsavams are being celebrated in a grand manner at Visakha Sri Sarada Peetham. As part of the celebrations on the ninth day on Sunday, Guru Vandana, Gopuja, Ganapati puja and Punyahavachana were held under the auspices of Peetham seer Sri Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi Swamy. The seer performed Panchamritabhishekam to the Goddess. Later, priests performed Navavaranarchana. The Mother Goddess on Monday blessed the devotees in the form of Maha Kali.
On the occasion, the Sri Swamy said that the Goddess incarnated to end the evil and protect the humanity. Many women performed Kumkuma puja and Suvasini puja on the on the ninth day of Sarannavaratri. Later, the Swamy rendered Nakshatra Harati to the deity and distributed prasadam to the devotees. A large number of devotees participated. Prominent citizens, businessmen and a large number of devotees participated in the programme.
