New districts for political gains: Revanth
Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy on Monday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was creating more districts for political gains. His party would bring to the notice of the Governor the ‘erratic’ method the State government adopted in the creation of new districts, he said.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, Revanth accused TRS of not encouraging Dalit and Girijan leaders. He said the places which fall under the ambit of Schedule V were being merged with open lands, thereby depriving Girijans of their rights under the Constitution, he said. “The Governor should give his consent to the ordinance related to new districts only after consultating legal experts. Otherwise, the TDP will complain to the President,” he said.
Welcoming the CPM’s five-month Maha Padayatra in the State from October 17, Revanth said his party would discuss extending cooperation at the regional-level. He alleged that the Congress had succumbed to the pressure of the Chief Minister. The TDP would prepare an action plan to reveal the Constitutional ‘violations’ committed by the KCR government, he added.
