Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has launched a crackdown on the online gaming industry and scrapped the 13-year monopoly of gaming technology provider Philweb Corp this week.

Duterte had refused the renewal of Philweb's license to operate 300 online gaming cafes after it expired on Wednesday.
