EU regulators to probe $130 bn Dow-DuPont merger

The European Union's antitrust regulators have initiated a probe into the proposed $130 billion merger of US chemical firms Dow Chemical and DuPont, stating the deal may limit competition in supplies important to Europe's farmers.
Further, the merger, which would create the world's largest integrated crop protection and seeds company, may hurt innovation, the European Commission stated.
