MasterCard initiates mobile payment verification via selfie

Making payments more secure and fun, MasterCard has started a test project in Netherlands and US to allow consumers verify their mobile payments via selfie.
The biometric method will be safer and secured when compared to the normal authentications.
As many as 200 consumers from US and 750 consumers at Dutch state owned bank will be able to download the app, which is a three months trial
The app uses finger print, facial recognition technologies to authenticate payments.
