The Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry has launched a latest device targeting the mid range market in India, which occupies major share. LEAP is the new phone from the BlackBerry, tagged at Rs 21,490, and it appears like an elder brother of Z3 that was released in 2014.
LEAP sports a 5 inch display with 720x1280 pixel resolution powered by 1.5 GHz processor and 8 mega pixel rear camera, while the front is 2 mega pixel one. BlackBerry seems to have put lot of efforts on the battery as the LEAP comes with a 2800 mAH battery that can last for 25 hours with heavy use of advanced features like the internet.
LEAP’s Assistant allows a user to manage email, contacts, calendar and other BlackBerry 10 features through voice and text commands. It helps to execute important tasks quickly in any situation, whether at desk, in car or in a meeting. Apart from the regular BlackBerry World, Amazon app store enables to download latest apps.
The smartphone was launched during the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona.
