AAP breaks rules, ethics
Despite the tall promises made by the AAP about changing the political culture in this country, students of a government technical institute were asked to serve the visting AAP campaigners including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. And lo and behold, for the service they were promises evaluation and marks. Students from hotel management department of Punjab College of Technical Education (PCTE) for the last three days were reportedly busy extending hospitality at their college director K N S Kang in farm house in Jhande village of Ludhiana.
They were at the service of AAP leader Kejriwal and his team who were campaigning there. Besides the students, it was reported that four faculty members, chefs and managers specialised in food and beverages – were also on duty for Kejriwal’s team at the farmhouse. The college is affiliated to Punjab Technical University. The college authorities, however, maintained that it was part of the students’ curriculum and hands on experience at outdoor catering service.
Ironically, the menu itself was not all aam aadmis can afford except the likes of Kejriwal. Special dishses prepared for the diabetic Kejriwal. Special dishes included Sabz Panchmeli (five vegetables slow cooked – carrot, beans, cauliflowers, brinjals and green peas was served – along with sabz miloni cooked in spinach gravy. Punjabi specialties – Dal Makhni,Ppanch Ratan Dal and Aloo paranthas – were cooked with minimal use of oil. A special Aloo Gobhi Phoro’ with Bengali spices was served. There were directions not to use cream, butter and ghee.
