Raj-Shilpa, Shut up and don't bounce!
An analysis is going viral on both the internet and social media these days on the IPL, its controversies and the ill luck being associated with it. The analysis says all those business tycoons who purchased a team under the IPL have found their fortunes dwindle! Be it Vijay Mallya, Deccan Chronicle’s Venkatram Reddy, Sahara Chief Subroto Roy, Former BCCI President N Srinivasan, Lalit Modi, or even Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty. All the IPL team owners have fallen from grace and reputation.
The once proud owners of Rajasthan Royals, Raj and Shilpa were under the CBI
scanner for the alleged match fixing. Now, the husband and wife have decided to
get rid of the team which they purchased at a premium price. Raj and Shilpa
have decided to sell their stake in Rajasthan Royals.
The celebrity couple informed Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and
IPL Governing Body about their decision to end all ties with Rajasthan Royals.
They will be selling their 11.7 percent stake in the IPL Franchise that was
acquired in 2009.
But the punch line is that there no takers. Nobody seems to be interested in buying Rajasthan Royals. To make things much worse for the celebrity couple, in its final Judgment Supreme Court held Raj guilty of betting in IPL. For now, Shilpa and Raj have decided to "Shut Up and don’t bounce.”
