Warangal Deputy Director of Drugs Surendranath Sai on Monday inspected the MGM stores and collected five samples of medicines and sent them to the lab for quality testing. On the occasion, he said the medicine was supplied by a local agency and these samples would be sent for quality testing. Surendranath Sai, along with Drug Inspector Upender and other team members, participated in the inspection.

Even after the Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital incident, the MGM pharmacy department has not taken any measure to check the spurious drugs being supplied by the contractors. The District Consumer Welfare Association alleged that the MGM officials have not taken preventive measures and showed least interest in preventing sub-standard and unauthorised medicines.
