Understanding the importance of blood donation, Nagapuri Srinivas, a resident of Machli Bazaar in Warangal, has so far donated blood 105 times. A pan shop owner, Srinivas enlisted himself as a blood donor in almost all the blood banks in the city. His blood group O-negative, being rare, he goes to any place to donate blood without expecting any financial assistance. Moreover, he encourages his friends and family members to donate blood.

He joined RSS when he was 16 and participated in all the blood donation programmes it conducted. "Being a member of RSS, I grew up without any bad habits and inculcated patriotism and serving attitude towards fellow human beings,” Srinivas says.
