District Collector Vakati Karuna said that the Central government has sanctioned Rs 24 crores for construction of 72,002 Individual Sanitary Latrines (ISLs) under Swachh Bharat Mission. So far, construction of 18,534 ISLs was completed and another 23,744 were under construction. Union Drinking Water and Sanitation Ministry officials on Wednesday conducted a video conference from Delhi on Swachh Bharat Mission works. Participating in the meeting, the Collector said that the ISL works would be expedited. DRO Sobha, RWS superintending engineer Ramchandru and other officials participated.
