The UAE-based leading banking group, Emirates NBD has tied up with Empays Payment Systems India and Axis Bank for providing 'DirectRemit2 Mobile' service to customers.

'DirectRemit2 Mobile' is an innovative funds remittance service which enables UAE account holders to transfer money directly to any registered mobile numbers in India in 60 seconds.

In order to transfer money to the beneficiary’s account, customers should log into their Emirates NBD account through mobile banking and provide the registered mobile number of the beneficiary.

Suvo Sarkar, Senior Executive Vice President & Group Head – Retail Banking and Wealth Management of Emirates NBD said, "Mobiles have become an inseparable aspect of our lives. We foresee DirectRemit2 Mobile revolutionising peer-to-peer international money transfers in the UAE as we expand the service to new markets in the near future."
