Instagram, which caters to more than 300 million clients, on Monday unveiled a stand-alone application that enables iPhone users to make collages easily.

The move by the Facebook-possessed smartphone photo sharing service was in keeping with a method by isocial network prime supporter Mark Zuckerberg to field separate, specific applications aimed at people who use cell phone for photographic creativity.

"When you open Layout, we automatically present you previews of custom layouts as you choose pictures from camera roll," Instagram said in an online post regarding Layout.

Design highlights incorporate the ability to discover pictures containing faces, and the choice to share collages at leading social networks such as Facebook and Instagram.

The Layout application released on Monday was customized for devices powered by Apple. According to Instagram, a version of this app would be soon available for Android devices.
