Lenovo Vibe K5 smartphone is all set to launch in India. The Chinese company had also unveiled the Vibe K5 Plus alongside the Vibe K5. In the last one month, Lenovo has launched several smartphones including Zuk Z1,Moto G4 Plus, and earlier this week, Moto Z and Moto Z Force. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus launched earlier this year in India and was priced at Rs. 8,499, so the Vibe K5 is priced below that – at 6,999, the same as its predecessor, A6000.

The specifications of the Lenovo Vibe K5 smartphone include features like a 5-inch 720p display, dual Micro-SIMS and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor clocked at 1.4GHz paired with 2GB DDR3 of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. On the camera front, the Lenovo Vibe K5 features a 13MP primary rear camera with flash and a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video chat.

The handset packs a decent 2,750mAh removable battery which is claimed to offer a standby time of up to 322 hours on 4G network, and a talk time of up to 15 hours on 3G network. The phone is built with aviation grade aluminium alloy and weighs in at 142 grams. Total thickness of the phone is 7.99mm, which is slightly thicker than what has become a common trend. Among other notable features, the smartphone includes an all-metal body, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and TheaterMax technology.

The smartphone will be available in the colours Platinum Silver, Champagne Gold, and Graphite Grey. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and 4G. The Vibe K5 comes with LTE Cat 4 which enables it to match download speeds of up to 150Mbps and an upload speed of up to 50Mbps. The handset will come with the company's proprietary apps such as ‘SHAREit’ for rapid transfer of photos, apps and other data; ‘CLONEit’ to instantly transfer all old apps and data to a new Lenovo phone, and ‘SYNCit’ for backing up & restoring all contacts, SMS messages and call log.

The device will be sold exclusively through a flash sale on Amazon India website for which the registrations have already begun. The flash sale is scheduled for 2 pm on June 22.
