Lava brings Icon to India

Lava has expanded its portfolio in India, with the latest Smart phone Lava Icon tagged at Rs 11,990 exclusively available on from Saturday. Snapdeal plans to package a free selfie stick with the device.

It has a 5-inch HD IPS display, the gadget is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core ARM Mali 400 MP2 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The display offers 550 d/m2 brightness and an Asahi Dragon-trail Glass that is scratch resistant.

The device is 7.7mm thick that runs Android 4.4 KitKat with a layer of the firm's Star UI on top of it. On the camera front, the gadget comes fitted with a 13-megapixel back snapper with double LED flash, Sony's Exmor sensor with 5P lens and a blue glass filter. With the F2.0 aperture in rear camera lens and F2.4 aperture in front cam lens, Icon's camera captures 27% more light under low light conditions.

It accompanies a 5-megapixel front cam with Omni Vision sensor, F2.4 opening, 4P lens, BSI-II sensor with blue glass riddle. The blue glasses sift secures the delicate picture sensor against overexposure in the infrared wavelength range. The cam has a Face beauty mode, Face Detection, HDR, Panorama Mode, Smile Shot and more.

The network choices provided are 3G, Wi-Fi, micro-USB and Bluetooth. A 2500mAh Li-Pol battery finishes the bundle. It guarantees up to 20 hours of talk time on 2G and up to 9 hours of talk time on 3G.
