LG Watch Urbane set to have global launch

LG has announced the global launch of the LG Watch Urbane, its latest Android Wear-based smartwatch. Its roll out will be starting this week from South Korea.

LG revealed about this first ever 4th-Generation Smart Watch at the Mobile World Congress 2015. It has a 1.3 inch plastic OLED display. However, the size of the front glass makes the watch look bulky.  The watch runs on 700 mAH battery and LG claims that it would long for several days in standby mode. But it will be a huge challenge for LG to keep up to its words. Urbane has its own operating system that runs on a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor which also includes GPS, NFC and other standard Android phone features.

The smartwatch has 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage capacity. Well, all the features of Urbane make it comparable with a basic smartphone. The additional features of the Urbane are, it is dust and water resistant. One can pair the watch to their smartphone and check notifications and make calls more easily.
