The massive earthquake which hit Nepal recently not only took thousands of lives, but also resulted in destruction of huge amount of property and loss of valuable cultural heritages.

In order to prevent any further harm to the country, the Nepal government has banned drones on its skies, as they may capture valuable information related to the country and its important sites which may later cause problem to its heritage.

A statement to this effect was issued by Nepal Civil Aviation authority stating that if people wish to fly their drones, they have to take permission from them before flying and should not fly them in the prohibited areas.

The announcement was made because some of the foreign aid agencies have used drones to track the loss and broadcast the information and have clicked images of the valuable heritage sites illegally.
