Facebook has come up with two new features to have more control over user’s personal information -Anonymous Login and Facebook Login.
Facebook Login is intended at providing the users with improved privacy settings and to choose the details the users want to share.
The changes were brought into effect following a complaint given by the users regarding sharing of their personal details and to have more control over the details that are received by apps.
"Anonymous Login lets people log in to apps so they don’t have to remember usernames and passwords, but it doesn’t share personal information from Facebook. People can decide later if they want to share any additional information, once they understand more about the apps,”a Facebook blog stated.
New Facebook Login is soon to be unveiled which lets the users select the information they share. The feature gives people an option of unchecking categories of information."For example, if someone wants to share their email address with an app, but not their birthday, they can make that choice with a couple taps,”says the blog.
In the past, Facebook users logged into the apps and websites for about 10 billion times with Facebook Login, which allowed them to log in with the same usernames and passwords. The Anonymous Login is expected to be available soon as they are testing on it.
Facebook has also modified its Control Panel, which will soon be available. It is declared that a new dashboard, where users can see a list of apps they use, manage specific permissions, or remove the apps completely.
