The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has begun its hunt for a suitable replacement for Nitin Patel, the Team India physio who resigned.

A Sydney-based physio, Patrick Farhart, is one who has been targeted. Farhat has worked with a variety of teams, in his early 50s, including teams in Australian Football and Rugby League. He is now a physio with the Kings XI Punjab.

Patrick is a part of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA). "He has completed postgraduate training that allows him to be an APA Sports Physiotherapist," the page notes.

Patel submitted his resignation to the BCCI citing personal reasons, who has worked with the Indian team for close to eight years.

The BCCI has another physio, Yogesh Parma, on rolls and has a linkup with Evan Speechly of South Africa whose services can be utilised at any given time but the BCCI is believed to be looking for someone who has a proven record in injury management.
