India shuttler H S Prannoy has stated that he didn't let his concentration waver following a controversial incident during his stunning win over world number two Jan O Jorgensen in the India Open Super Series.
The issue came amid the decider as the chair-umpire overrode the line-umpire's judgment on a line-call when Prannoy was leading 13-11 and granted a point to Jorgensen.
Acknowledging about what happened during the match, Prannoy stated that he had felt short of time to challenge the decision.
"In spite of losing the point, I was gritty enough to keep my attention on the game," he said.
"The circumstances were suitable for me and I was playing very fast as I knew Jorgensen doesn't care about my style of playing. Generally, it was a decent game and the issue did not trouble me."
Notwithstanding the issue, the 22-year-old couldn't conceal his celebration after defeating Jorgensen in a hard-battled challenge.
Prannoy was compelled to work for his success as Dane pushed him as far as possible. Anyway, apart from losing the first game, Prannoy rejected to be deterred as he stung back to Jorgensen 18-21, 21-14, 21-14 within an hour.
