Not just another neighbourhood brawl

Indian tennis players Ankita Raina and Prarthana Thombare defeated Pakistani’s Ushna Suhail and Sara Mansoor respectively in the singles matches, as India trounced Pakistan registering 2-0 in their opening tie in the Asia/Oceania Group-II of the Fed Cup in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Prarthana sealed Sara Mansoor with 6-1 6-0 in the first singles match and then India’s top’s singles player Ankita dominated the game with an equally strong 6-0 6-1 win against Ushna Suhail.

Sania Mirza, who has been recently crowned the World No. 1 in the women’s doubles, did not take field as the players from the neighboring country proved an easy target for the other two Indian girls.
