Bopanna-Mergea win Madrid Open doubles title

India’s Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea won the men’s doubles title of the Madrid Open on Sunday defeating Nenand Zimonjic and Martin Matkowski.

At one point of time, Bopanna and Mergea were at the verge of defeat but they saved a match point and came back quite strong. Finally with 6-2, 6-7(5), 11-9 scores, Bopanna and Mergea won the match which last for one hour and 24 minutes.

This is the third title for Bopanna of the 2015 season and his first after pairing with Mergea.
