Indian para-athletes are celebrating their joy as the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) lifted the ban imposed on the Paralympic Committee of India.

Last year, IPC had suspended and banned the Indian Paralympic Committee after them failing to implement the reforms that were regulated by the world governing bodies.

The ban has temporarily been lifted and finally the Indian para-athletes are allowed to participate in the upcoming Rio Paralympics.

A total of twenty Indian para-athletes have qualified and secured their berth for the Rio 2016 event.
