A 14-year-old Austrian schoolboy has been sentenced to 8 months of imprisonment on the charges of terrorism.

The court passed the sentence on Tuesday.

The teenager of Turkish origin was planning to bomb Vienna train station in the name of Islamic State group. He was found guilty of belonging to the terrorist group and has been served additional suspended jail sentence of 16 months by a court of Sankt-Poelten

According to the chargesheet, the teenager, who came from Turkey in 2007, wanted to carry out the attack before travelling to join “holy war” in Syria alongside the Islamic State group. The police arrested him in October 2014 and the case has come to an end now by sentencing him under terrorism.

His lawyer Rudolf Mayer said that the kid has grown without father and has been only playing with idea of making a bomb. The police officials found violent images and IS propaganda on boy’s computer, mobile and gaming console.

The kid expressed no feelings of guilt when sentenced. He listened in silence to the comments and judgement.
