Etela seeks 2 lakh LPG connections for Telangana
On the first anniversary of Telangana government, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao seeks two lakh LPG connections from Union Petroleum Ministry to gift them to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.
To this end, Telengana State Finance Minister Etela Rajender met Petroleum Minister Dharminder Pradhan and submitted a letter dated May 22, 2015. In the letter, Chief Minister had requested the Union Minister to issue two lakh more connections before the anniversary of Telengana State, June 2.
KCR requested that to make his dream a reality by providing LPG connections to cent per cent BPL families. Etela requested the Petroleum Minister to issue connections under CSR scheme of oil companies.
Etela also met Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley and demanded State specific borrowing limit to 3.5 per cent of GSDP as recommended by the 14 finance commission.
