Telangana students pay tribute to martyrs

Colleges in Telangana observed Martyrs day on March 23 to mark the 84th death anniversary of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru.

Students Federation of India (SFI) organized talks and street plays in Osmania University and University of Hyderabad on the occasion. SFI activists paid tribute to the freedom fighters and garlanded the martyrs’ statues in Osmania and other educational institutions.

Activists sang revolutionary songs and performed street plays. Awareness programs against superstitious practices in society were also conducted in colleges.

In Delhi, SFI activists organized an anti-imperialist march, attended by hundreds of students from Jawahar Lal Nehru University. Ambassador of Bolivia, George Cardenas; Ambassador of Ecuador, Capaya Rodriguez; eminent economist Prabhat Patnaik and SFI All India President V Sivadasan addressed the students.
