Death toll rises to 150 in Nepal

Atleast 150 people have lost their lives in the massive earthquake that hit Kathmandu in Nepal on Saturday, according to the Home Ministry of Nepal.

The Home Ministry also stated that the  death toll might see a rise.

Home Ministry spokesman, Laxmi Prasad Dhakal said, "In Kathmandu, 71 deaths have been reported so far. Another 43 deaths have been from the nearby Bhaktapur district.”   

The spokesperson further said that the rescue operations are underway. This is the worst quake in over 80 years in the country. Injured people are being rushed to the nearest hospitals and the patients are also being treatment outside the hospital due to the desperate circumstances.
