he voice for separate Telangana reached till the Parliament in Delhi just because of Telangana Rashtra Samithi party workers, Telangana chief minister and newly re-elected TRS chief, K Chandrashekar Rao said on Friday.

KCR was speaking in the first plenary meeting of the party after formation of Telangana. He was re-elected unopposed as the president of the party in the event, held at Lal Bahadur Shahstri Stadium in Hyderabad.

The chief minister said that the very party workers who took the message for formation of Telangana to the Parliament were insulted, but they took the movement ahead without caring about anything.

However, the question remains of what KCR will do for the party workers and martyrs of the Telangana movement, who have played the most important role in creation of the new state. Till now no announcement has been for betterment of the party workers.

The TRS workers were eagerly waiting for KCR’s announcement regarding some schemes which will benefit them, but they were disappointed. The party workers also raised questions regarding when the process of distribution of lands to the Dalit population will begin, as it has not yet started even 10 months after formation of Telangana.

One of the party workers stated that many schemes mentioned in the manifesto have not yet been implemented, even after the party coming to power.
