Civil Servants should be ready to accept political intervention too, as it is only for the well-being of the administration and smooth functioning of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, while addressing the civil Services day function proceedings attended by many civil servants, across the country.

Terming political intervention as a necessary tool in a democracy, the PM said that if it was political interference, it should be denounced but if it was an intervention, it should be taken into the stride by the civil servants, as it is for the careful functioning of the administrative set up in India.

The Personal life of a civil servant also should be maintained with the same diligence and perseverance, the PM felt. The family life of a civil servant should be happy, he should spend time with the family members, besides giving importance to the public. Both, public and private life are of equal importance to an individual.

The talk of the PM gave a positive impact on the side of civil servants and showed the human side of the PM and his concern for the human side of the public servants.
