T Govt will soon come up with permanent solution to drainage problems

To put a stop to the problem of poor drainage lines and the foul smell emerging from them, Telangana Government will soon formulate plans.

While on visit to Sriram Nagar and NBT Nagar under Banjara Hills Assembly constituency as part of Swachh Hyderabad program, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao stated that officials have come up with estimates of Rs 300 crore for construction of drainage canals in the twin cities.

It was also revealed that TRS government will conduct “Swacch Telangana” on the lines of Swachh Hyderabad soon in the villages and municipalities.

Haritha Haram programme of planting saplings also will be conducted across the State.

He further stated, “We will spend adequate funds for this and involve the official machinery to construct fool-proof canals for the drainage.”

The cleanliness drive will not stop in few days instead it will be conducted on regular basis.

“We will spend at least two days for clean drive every month and address the problems”, he stated.

The government is drawing initiatives to bring out a permanent solution to drainage problems that are persistent in our city.
