AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa is expected to make her first public appearance on Friday since acquittal. The former chief minister of Tamil Nadu will pay tributes to political and social icons at Anna Salai including AIADMK founder MG Ramachandran.
Before this, Jaya will be meeting the party’s 150 legislators, when they would convey the message to her to take over the government. On May 11, Jayalalithaa was acquitted in the disproportionate assets case by Karnataka High Court, which suspended her sentence.
However, she did not make any sort of public appearance since then and rumours about her health started making rounds. But AIADMK sources clarified that she is fine and would make a comeback to active politics soon.
