Rs 35 crore hotel bill tab for waiting MPs stay

The Centre has grown concerned about the rules allowing the Lok Sabha MPs to get transit accommodation in state run luxury hotels, after their hotel bill totaled to a whopping Rs 35 crore, a Hindustan Times report said.
Since April 6, 2014, at least 35 MPs were put up in The Ashok Hotel as they were yet to be accomodated in government houses. The number of MPs residing at the hotel had gone higher around the time of Lok Sabha election in May 2014,
