A Rajasthan Royals player was approached by bookies to fix in the eighth edition of the Indian Premier League.

However, the player turned down the offer and informed the BCCI’s anti-corruption committee team about the same. He is presently being questioned at private place regarding the matter. The Mumbai-based player came in contact with the bookie through another cricketer with whom he played for Ranji trophy.

The unidentified cricketer initially thought that the other cricketer was joking. The top officials of the BCCI were intimated regarding the fixing reports by the anti-corruption team, however they refused to comment even after repeated attempts. BCCI has stepped now in to make sure that IPL runs clean and no player gets involved in fixing.
