Telangana govt promotes "healthy" education

In a move focusing on welfare of government school students, the Telangana government has announced that if anyone in the hostel messes of government schools sell the rice meant for mid-day meal scheme for students to other middlemen outside or get involved in such corrupt activities, then strict action would be taken against them.

The government has stated that there would be serious outcomes for the staff from suspension to police arrest. Periodical inspections would be conducted by school officials to check whether the food is distributed properly or not.

The government has said that the students themselves can report, if any corruption takes place in the quality of food.
