Union Agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh stated that he or the Agriculture ministry did not receive any letter from the state government of Telangana seeking help on drought areas in the state. A delegation of Telangana Telugu Desam Party met the Union minister earlier today and complained regarding the drought regions in the Telangana state. Mr. Singh assured T-TDP leaders that he would look after the issue after he receives an official letter from the state government.

T-TDP leaders requested the minister Mr. Singh to allocate funds under the National Disaster Relief Fund [NDRF] to save farmers. Later the delegation met Union Urban Development minister Venkaiah Naidu on the same issue.
