11 lakh students wrote JEE exam

11 lakh aspirants wrote the paper I and II of Joint Entrance Examination JEE(Main) test on Saturday in pen and paper mode.

JEE Main test score will decide the eligibility of students for the JEE (Advanced) test to be held on May 24.Admission into all engineering colleges including all IIT's is based on the JEE (Main) score.

An online examination for Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech.) will be held on April 10 and April 11. Out of the 11 lakh candidates, nearly 1.86 lakh are expected to write the online test.
The hall tickets can be downloaded from the website jeemain.nic.in.

The number of aspirants this year dipped by 50,000.It was the third Joint Entrance Examination exam since the two-phase entrance pattern of JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) were introduced.
