The Hyderabad High Court has issued interim orders on the G.O. number 15, dealing with road tax for vehicles from Andhra Pradesh, which came into implementation from March 31 midnight. As per the G.O., all the private vehicles arriving from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana state need to pay entry tax. However, the AP Private Travels Association had approached the High Court and appealed to scrap off the G.O. as it would put a huge burden on them.

After hearing the arguments of the private travels, the High Court directed the Telangana government to put off the collection of tax by a week and adjourned the next hearing till April 7.  In a sign of relief, the Court has allowed only the petitioners to submit appropriate documents at the Telangana check posts. This would make them to roam freely in Telangana state just for a week.
