The Bombay High Court has ordered private colleges in Maharashtra to suspend MBA admissions for the current year until April 28.

A High Court division bench headed by Justice V.M. Kanade and Justice M. Sonak asked all colleges not to admit students based on the Common Entrance Test (CET 2015), following a petition by students who have appeared for CET. In their petition, students have alleged irregularities in the MBA-MMS common entrance test. Students reportedly complained about attendance issues, technical failings and mass cheating during the CET exam in colleges.

After the court intervened in this matter, the Maharashtra department of technical education decided to cancel admissions to MBA colleges.
