Naidu brings some light in life of visually challenged people

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu gifted 18 laptops to visually challenged students on the occasion of his 65th birthday, on Monday, at NTR Trust Bhavan. All the blind students were from Andhra Pradesh, studying in the University of Hyderabad (UoH), stated the UoH officials.


The distribution ceremony was attended by Dr S Rajagopal, Chairman, Empowered Committee for Differently Abled Persons (ECDAP) and Dr Annavarum, member of ECDAP, along with Mr Koteswara Rao, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Vikalangula Cooperative Corporation.


Thanking Naidu for gifting the laptops, the university’s vice chancellor Prof E Haribabu said, ''This will benefit the students and help them in their academic advancement.'' The University is currently having discussions with the Telangana government, expecting a similar gesture from them as well, the officials revealed.
