Media okays corporate turn
About 24 per cent of the total media professionals in India have rated media’s corporate turn as the best thing for media sector. Across the gender divide, female employees were more happy than their male peers,with over 27 per cent of women agreeing to it. About 23 per cent of the gentlemen were only happy about media's corporate turn.
Location wise, Bangalore and Hyderabad candidates were happy followed by the Delhi candidates. About 28% in both Hyderabad and Bangalore have rated corporate culture as the best feature of media sector.
However, only 18 per cent of Mumbai employees liked the media’s corporate turn.
IT/Telecom employees have more liking for corporate culture, with 29 per cent approving the corporate culture, followed by Advertising/PR/Events professionals(13 per cent) and anchoring/TV/Films/Production professionals(9 per cent).
Generally, people with 2-5 years of experience have approved the corporate culture, followed by those with 10-20 years of experience.
