Robbery attempt at KPHB colony

High drama prevailed at Hydernagar in KPHB Colony on Friday after five armed persons tried to rob a private finance company. The police have detained four persons from Filmnagar, supposed to be junior artists for questioning. According to the KPHB police, the incident has taken place at Hydernagar in KPHB colony. Five unknown persons entered the Mini Muthoot Finance Company located on the first floor of a building beside Chermas textile showroom.

Four of them entered the Mini Muthoot office at 1.30 pm, while the other was keeping watch on the road, said KPHB inspector V Srikanth Goud. He said that one of the accused went to the assistant manager Ashwini and started a conversation with her saying that he wants to mortgage his gold ring. During their conversation, the accused slipped the gold ring under the table to divert the attention of other office staff.

As soon as everyone started searching for the ring, one among the gang entered the desk and gave a fist blow on Ashwini’s neck and the other took out a gun from his trouser and threatened the office staff and collected the keys of the strong room from manager Krishna.

When the gang members were getting ready to enter the strong room, their mate, who was standing outside the office gave signals alerting his team that the situation outside was not suitable for the robbery, the inspector said.

The accused gang which was aware of the CC Cameras presence in the premises fled with the two CC cameras, DVR system that stores the video recording and mobile phones of the three office staff.

On receiving information, the KPHB police rushed to the spot along with clues team to collect the available evidences. The police examined the footage recorded in the cameras of Chermas showroom and picked four persons from Filmnagar. It is reliably learnt that two of them are working as junior artists in TV serials.
