Taking exception to the criticism of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu against Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, energy minister G Jagadish Reddy on Wednesday threw a challenge to compete with his leader in implementing welfare and development works. Jagadish Reddy alleged that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister was involved only in ‘newspaper management’ and was envious of the admiration that KCR was getting from the people. He said Naidu was not even eligible to criticise KCR and added that his leader was the best Chief Minister in the country.

The minister asked Naidu to refrain from mud-slinging activities on the Telangana government and ridiculed that Naidu was envious about people’s huge response to the TRS public meeting addressed by KCR.  The minister stated that Telangana was a surplus State even before its merger with the Andhra region. He asked Naidu to stop carrying on a misinformation campaign against the Telangana government. He also stated that Andhra Bank Chairman and Managing Director recently stated that the Telangana was witnessing a rapid growth in terms of development.

Alleging that Naidu was uttering words without any substance, he said that people were aware that the former had backstabbed NTR to become the Chief Minister by joining the Telugu Desam Party. "It is a known fact that the TDP regime killed people for seeking a rollback of power tariff in the Basheerbagh firing incident.
Transport minister P Mahender Reddy and TRS MP Balka Suman too lashed out at Naidu for criticising the Telangana Chief Minister. He said that more TTDP MLAs would join TRS party in the near future. "Wait and watch. One year before the next elections, you will see some big TTDP MLAs join TRS. TDP will be erased from the political map of Telangana for good,” they said.
