Warangal will become the best city: Kadiyam
“Warangal will turn into the best city in Telangana after Hyderabad” said Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, who added that government will take all-round development works. Srihari laid foundation stone for various development works at public gardens at Hanamkonda. He said that the Centre and State governments paid special attention to the historic city, for which the government already sanctioned funds for its development.
He asked concerned officials to prepare a comprehensive plan for city’s development. Srihari said that the “Swachh Warangal” programme would be shortly on par with Hyderabad. For developing the programme works, Warangal Municipal Corporation would be divided into divisions, where division district level and corporate officials and public representatives will coordinate in the programme, he added. Srihari asked the corporation officials to develop public garden, for which Rs 45 lakhs have been sanctioned for building garden’s compound wall and Rs 10 lakhs were sanctioned for building walkers track. He also said that works should be completed within 45 days, directing officials to construct toilets and develop greenery.
MLA Dasyam Vianaya Bhaskar speaking on the occasion said that the officials should take special interest for the “Haritha Haram” programme, which would be taken up shortly. He appealed to the people to participate in the programme, to make it successful. Vinaya also appealed to ban use of plastic in Warangal, extending news that the Corporation will set up junctions at important places to regulate traffic. Commissioner for Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation Sarferaz Ahmed plan would ensure Warangal’s development.
