The district’s political scenario reached a boil with the ruling TRS party and the opposition TDP party members taking jabs at each other frequently. After a public brawl, at village Bommera of Palakurthi on Sunday between Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari and TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao, district TRS leaders slammed Dayakar Rao for provoking the fight. A similar incident took place a week back, when Mission Kakatiya works were inaugurated.

During TDP’s mini Mahanadu programme, at Kareemabad on Sunday, Dayakar Rao targeted TRS party and its leaders saying he will bring to light the irregularities taking place in Mission Kakatiya and Water Grid projects. Wardhannapet MLA Aroori Ramesh slammed Dayakar Rao’s behaviour towards the Deputy Chief Minister and said that TD party is obstructing State’s development.

“TDP leaders have become frustrated and are not able to stomach the development activities being done by the TRS government. “Dayakar Rao is saying the TRS government is biased towards his Palakurthi constituency, which stands second in terms of Mission Kakatiya works taking place here. In a bid to make their presence felt by the people, Dayakar Rao is resorting to such acts,” he said.

Ramesh further reminded that it was the TDP government that obstructed the sharing electricity with Telangana. TRS district president Takkallapalli Ravinder Rao, who was present in the fight, said that Dayakar Rao is acting like a buffoon. He added that the police, TRS workers and people would have beaten the TDP party workers.
