Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma Maheshwar Rao on Monday accused YCR Congress Party chief and Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy of having a major share of black money announced nation-wide recently. Addressing the media here, the Minister alleged that Jagan had a share of Rs 10,000 crore black money out of the nearly Rs 65,000-crore disclosed to the Union government.

He said Jagan converted black money into white by making use of the loopholes in the legal system. “The government can take up many developmental works using Jagan’s black money,” he said, adding Jagan owned thousands of acres of land and mines illegally using benami names.

The Minister further said that the YCRCP chief illegally got 94,038 acres of land and 1.81 lakh acres of mines worth Rs 33,935 crore. He asked Jagan to stop misinformation campaign over Pulivendula water project and the State government. “Soon, YSRCP role in Tuni incident will be revealed and stringent action will be taken against those involved,” he said. He alleged that Jagan’s media was resorting to mudslinging at Nara Lokesh who respected elders.
