'Houses for Hyderabad & Warangal scribes in first phase'

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Sunday reiterated that his government will construct free housing facility for the journalists in Hyderabad and Warangal in first phase. Talking to mediapersons at TRS Rajya Sabha MP Captain Lakshmikantha Rao’s residence in Warangal city on Sunday after presenting a golden crown to Goddess Bhadrakali, the Chief Minister said in one or one-and-a-half month the government will begin the process of providing housing facility to the journalists.

On double bedroom houses or the place to be given to the journalists, he sought to know whether land was pooled up in Warangal. “We will see whether we can give the houses or land to the scribes”, the Chief Minister maintained. When scribes asked, KCR recalled that he had already promised to provide houses to them and will take steps in 30 to 45 days after Districts Reorgnization process was over. KCR also said he would personally look into the issue and the journalists need not worry about that, he added.

Shadnagar revenue division, Nandigama mandal: CM

KCR on Sunday directed that Shadnagar will be formed into a revenue division and Nandigama in the same constituency will be formed into a mandal. MLA Anjaiah Yadav called on him at camp office and urged in this regard. KCR immediately called up collectors of Mahabubnagar and Ranga Reddy districts and sought details besides asking them to take necessary steps. With this KCR gave nod for including Kothur, Keshampet, Faruqnagar, Kondurgu, Chaudhary Gudem mandals and new Nandigama mandal into Shadnagar municipality to make it a revenue division.

KCR also agreed to split big Kothur mandal and include its eight mandals into Nandigama to make a mandal headquarter. KCR directed the officials to include these two decisions into the draft notification of the new districts a release said.

CMO to issue 300 GOs today

The Telangana government is all set to inaugurate 21 new districts on Vijayadasami. The Chief Minister has assigned his ministers the job to inaugurate new districts from their respective districts. Accordingly, the ministers will host the Tricolor at at 11 am onOctober 11th to mark the inauguration of new districts. After hoisting the national flag, a police parade is scheduled to take place in each district.

To allocate officers to the new districts, the administration has decided to release a record number of 300 Government Orders (GOs) in a single day. Through these GOs, state will appoint collectors, police personnel and other officials to the new districts.
